By now 3.1 million of AMERICANS in 21 states have...

Received at pay check with a raise, depending on payroll cycles. Add in lower gas and home heating oil prices and many families got one hell of a Christmas present!!!

I overheard one mom at the grocery store yesterday when she cashed her check. She was so happy!

And several states are considering raising their states even higher!!!

Published January 01, 2015 FoxNews.com

The minimum wage increased Thursday in 21 states means extra money for an estimated 3.1 million U.S. workers, while Congress and the White House continue to battle over whether to increase the federal wage.

Alaska, Arkansas, Connecticut, Florida, Nebraska, Ohio, Maryland, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and South Dakota are among the states that increased their minimum wage on the first day of 2015.

In Connecticut, the state minimum wage goes from $8.70 to $9.15. It is the first of several increases aimed at boosting the wage to $10.10 an hour by Jan. 1, 2017 in that state.

Connecticut was the first state in the country to pass legislation committing to a $10.10 an hour wage, which President Obama wants for the federal minimum wage.

I just hope all the people that got raises don't quit their second jobs, it might be tough to replace all those workers.

just in case. I actually would love to see families return to the days of two incomes instead of three or four.

when companies buy politicians so they can evade their tax responsibility and refuse to pay a living wage, something has to give. They either have to pay taxes to supplement the income of their underpaid workers or pay the workers a living wage.
