Davos Elite: We Are Not The Bad Guys

The rich have a message for the 99%: Don't hate us, we are good for you.

DAVOS, Switzerland (CNNMoney)

The World Economic Forum, attended by business and political leaders, has the ambitious goal of "improving the state of the world." Posters with the slogan hang all over the conference venue in Davos.

And some of the rich gathered in the exclusive Swiss ski resort are convinced they are doing their bit already -- just by being wealthy.

The audience at a celebrity-loaded debate Friday on jobs and income inequality were asked whether the rich take more from the world than they contribute.

Perhaps not surprisingly, about 90% saw themselves as net contributors.

WPP (WPPGY) CEO Martin Sorrell said the wealth his company creates eventually trickles down to the poorest through taxation.

"Billions of people in emerging markets are lifted to the middle class," he said. "I am not going to apologize for creating a company that employs 179,000 employees."

WalMart may create jobs, but the taxpayer is feeding and providing basic services to the WalMart employee because the pay can in no way support even one adult.

Just because you "create jobs" doesn't mean your company - with its tax subsidies and rent subsidies and draconian pay scheme and lack of benefits - isnt a BURDEN ON US ALL.

YOU BENEFIT from the system without giving back, you freeloading, deadbeat pieces of scum.

I want everyone at DAVOS to be naked, hungry and cold. I want to SEE them struggle to feed, clothe and shelter themselves with NOTHING.

ALL AT DAVOS: YOU SUCK. Where's my fucking trickle down, you rich motherfuckers? Your savior Reagan has been dead for years and I'm still waiting....

Pretty much gives one some idea as to how the Mega Wealthy plans to protect themselves from the rest of the populace. This year many and most interviews I have watched, the theme seems to be,anxious, and some what concerned as to what the threat level of the average joe will be. Looks like all the Monied Elite are pulling out all the stops to continue trickle down economics and with the QE coming out of the Eruo Zone, just another Trillion plus in their pockets,it sure as hell won't be helping the Euro Zone average person.

But really, I just get over them even still, using the same trite, condescending canards that crowd always used; and acting like it's some epiphany.

Who are they trying to reach: Rip Van Winkle?
