(13,088 posts)I listened to the entire speech.
If was filled with dripping hypocrisy from beginning to end !!!!!!!!!!!!
He praised a dictator.
He blamed all the worlds ills on every one except the U.S.
Terror was mentioned too many times to count.
He never mentioned how many countries we have destabilized in the Middle East and destroyed their entire infrastructure.
He never mentioned how many innocents lives that our drones are responsible for.
He never mentioned how many people have been displaced because of our bombing campaigns.
Military action was mentioned too many times to count.
He has great plans for the many regions we will be involved in, but ignores the hungry, homeless, unemployed, and unrest in his own country.
He stated matter-of-factly that we would need to increase the military budget and that we would find the money.
He stated we found the money for World War ll.
He stated we always find the money.
He praised protesters but his country suppresses them.
He mentioned if we can stabilize the globe it will be great for the economy.
He said make no mistake this will take some time.
It will never end.
We have to be ever vigilante.
He is your typical lying warmonger.
How did a Vietnam Vet turn into a tool for the 1% ?
John Kerry used to stand for something.
He no longer does.
War enriches the wealthy.
It devastates everyone else involved.
P.S. I think I many have given you a nickles worth.

(16,163 posts)I don't have the stomach to listen to him.
After he didn't have the gonads to refute the swiftboating, I realized he was just another member of the political class.

(10,117 posts)...sharing your thoughts. We disagree about the context, content and purpose of the speech. IMO, he was making the case for unity of strategy in solving a problem. It wasn't about placing blame, as there is plenty to go around. And I think it is also important to remember he is Secretary of State...the country's top diplomat.
Thanks again for sharing your thoughts.
