White House chief of staff Denis McDonough will make the rounds on the Sunday morning news shows to discuss the politics of the controversial Keystone XL pipeline and the rising tensions in the Middle East.
The presidents top aide will speak on all five major news shows, the second time he has completed the rare feat.
With the Senate nearing a vote on legislation that would require approval of the Keystone pipeline, McDonough will reiterate the presidents opposition to such a bill.
Obama has said he will veto any bill that rushes him to approve the Keystone pipeline before the State Department has completed its environmental review.
The House passed similar Keystone legislation earlier this month, but it is unlikely lawmakers could find enough support to override a presidential veto.
McDonough will also discuss the situation in Yemen, where an al Qaeda affiliated group has seized the capital and overthrown the government there.
Yemen is a key U.S. ally in the region, and McDonough will talk about the presidents strategy for fighting terror abroad.
Heres the full lineup:
CNNs State of the Union: McDonough will also speak with George Stephanopoulos about the tension in the Middle East. Meanwhile, former GOP presidential candidates Rick Santorum and Jon Huntsman will also make appearances on the show.
ABCs This Week: McDonough will make his third appearance of the morning here to talk about Yemen. Afterwards, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal (R) will speak; he's a potential presidential candidate and has been vocal this week about his opposition to abortion.
NBCs "Meet the Press: McDonoughs fourth appearance will come on this show. He'll be followed by former Gov. Mike Huckabee (R-Ark.), who will speak about his potential presidential aspirations. Later, basketball legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, a Muslim, will discuss the attack on his religion in this country as Americas war on terror continues.
CBS "Face the Nation: McDonoughs final appearance of the morning comes here, where he will be followed by Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) and Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) in talking about the conflict overseas.
"Fox News Sunday: McDonough will talk about the situation in Yemen and the nearby U.S. push against ISIS. Ohio Gov. John Kasich (R) will talk about his efforts to pass a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution and his potential presidential bid.
