They hate on the government, but when you point out the corporate plutocracy in charge they just laugh nervously. They help enable the wealthy by ignoring the root cause of why they have so little and how hard they have to work for it. Instead they believe the garbage Foxnews feeds them. That CEOs somehow protect the country from...something.

What their base votes for: "Keeping the ragheads from killing me, the niggers from robbing me, the beaners from taking my job, and the fags from kissing each other in front of me."

What their base GETS: "Attacks on your social security and medicare, carte blanche for factories to pollute your water, a 15% tax rate for the people who OWN the factories, and the privilege of going to fight endless wars to secure the oil they burn in those factories."

personality defect in the useful idiot right wing base that is so easily tricked into voting against their own best interests.

I don't talk to "conservatives" about politics anymore. I have proven time and time again that if I want to know what they think I only need to listen to any right wing talking head for 2 minutes, then I can accurately judge what bumper sticker slogan is being regurgitated in the minds of every rightie on the street, including my own family.

I find it very frustrating that people who otherwise seem modestly bright can be reliably programmed like a goddamned zombie cult when it comes to anything relating to excusing the misdeeds of corrupt business leaders, or condemning the behavior of the poor or minorities.

They've flipped the whole conversation around, right out of Lewis Powell's long game treatise from the early 70s.

They rail against class warfare but they are doing it, filthy rich over the middle class and poor.

All enabled by too many poor and middle class folks being played like a fiddle and oblivious to that fact. So both are co conspirators in this mess.
