1/27/73 End of VietNam War

1973, the Vietnam war officially ended with the signing of the Paris Peace Accords. Just 11 hours before a ceasefire went into effect, Colonel William Benedict Nolde was killed in action, becoming the final, official American casualty in the nine-year conflict.

We officially withdrew from the war. The North Vietnamese government returned all POWs (which they in fact did despite the subsequent 40 years of rightwing bullshit that they didn't.) The South and North agreed to a ceasefire "in place".

be scuttled by the perfidy of Tricky Dick's campaign via Anna Chennault (with assists from Kissinger and other snakes).

LBJ knew that Nixon was committing treason in 1968 but couldn't let on that he knew or he would have to divulge that he'd illegally wiretapped Tricky Dick.
