Authorities say two bodies have been found near the SUV belonging to a Georgia couple who traveled to meet a man who said he was selling a classic car on Craigslist.

Telfair County Sheriff Chris Steverson says officials are in touch with the family of Elrey and June Runion though they haven't officially identified the remains.

The car they left in, a GMC Envoy, was found underwater, the family said on Facebook.

"During this heartbreaking time I ask that you keep the family and friends in your thoughts and prayers," the Facebook post said.

Earlier Monday, authorities say the man who last had phone contact with the grandparents has turned himself in on charges related to the case.

They have been identified and the murderous scumbag aka 'lone wolf' is in court tonight. They were both shot in the head.

mentioned this story as a reason he's not selling things on Craigslist any more. I tried to make him understand that as despicable as this is, it's not what commonly happens to someone who buys on Craigslist.

outside of the actual home/apt.
Except flooring but idid not go alone and I noticed the guy I was picking up from had his wife with a cell phone standing next to him. I was not insulted in the least.

Also in the case of cars you can use an escrow service. They do a lot of antique car arrangements escrow dot com is one

I was hoping for a better outcome. So sad. May they rest in peace.

I've gotten everything from my house to my kitteh Ren to my prized mid century starburst clock to amazing artwork.

But CL is also a clearinghouse for pets offered free. I have read too many accounts of horrible outcomes.

Today's news is like a punch in the face. Tragic.

I've always met up with the seller in a public place, like a parking lot or a restaurant in broad daylight.

Precaution is important.

Some of us older folks trust strangers when precaution is necessary. This is too sad.
