??? Michael Bennett of Colorado

Senator Bennett,

I just wanted you to know why I will not vote for you in 2016. You voted to keep your seat. Your first concern was to pay back what your donors paid for. How is your campaign to repeal Citizen's United? Can we add hypocrite to the list? Was it worth it?

Got back a reply thanking me for communicating with him and that he 'd reply to my concern later.

Hey Bennett, you DINO, don't bother!

Or be willing to have total repub Senate representation for your state?

These are the choices you are facing. At least you have one D as a senator. Down here in Georgia we have 2 nutcase repubs, who are owned by the coal and nuclear industries.

It will be interesting to see if Bennett gets any serious primary opposition.

I notice you didn't call him a Democrat. It will be interesting to see if he gets serious primary opposition; if he doesn't CO will have two R senators, regardless.

If nothing else, we are seeing the effect of having R's in control of the senate, with the EPA under assault and Complete morons like Inhof and Cruz running the Environment and Science committees.

I wish we had better choices. Encouraging primary opponents seems to be the only route nowadays.

Oh sure, in the short run, allowing nutjobs to be elected is a bad thing. On the other hand, putting up with the lukewarm moderates, and allowing them to dictate to our party (like enabling Max Baucus to craft the ACA, ostensibly to gain Republican votes) destroys our party from within, and destroys our brand with new and independent voters.

It will be a painful process to right this ship, even assuming we can. Might as well get on with it.

I have little to no faith that people will remove these nut cases once they get entrenched in office. People thought they would be rid of Rick Scott if Florida in 1 term. People thought that they would be rid of Scott Walker. Now Scott and Walker are both looking at vice presidency or higher.

The people of this country have not proven, outside of dependably blue areas, that they will switch back.

where people will actually wake up, I don't know. But certainly the rearguard action we have been fighting since the late 1960s seems to be a losing game.

Someone who values his seat over the needs of the people? Was it worth it, to do the bidding of the Koch Brothers. How about taking a stand regarding Climate Change? How much did it cost the Koch's to sell out the future of the human race? Endangering the lives of Billions on the planet, just so the Koch's can go from being obscenely wealthy, to some other new level of wealthy.

The slap in the face, is the Senator's campaign to have Citizen's United reversed. How would voting for this advance the change this country requires? He sold us out, just to reverse it? Or was it "Lip Service" just another email beg a thon. to stir up the base?

I don't understand the logic. By not voting one just lets the nut cases who always vote control things. Look at what happened this year and the result.

I understand your frustration. And I hope he gets primaried.
