France Job Listing: 'If Possible Not Be a Jew'.

An advert for a graphic design job in France has been withdrawn after it said the candidate should "if possible not be a Jew".

Racial discrimination is illegal in France and anti-racism group SOS Racisme says it is taking legal action.

The ad was posted on Monday by Paris-based NSL Studio on jobs site Graphic-Jobs.com.

NSL Studio has apologised for the ad but offered various explanations as to why it contained the offending clause.

The company was quoted on Monday by French news website Les Inrocks as saying that the hours of work, particularly during busy periods, meant the candidate should not be someone with cultural or religious needs.

NSL Studio then tweeted that its advert had been hacked and thanked those who had brought the issue to its attention.

32. You bet your ass I would have left Germany after 1933.

I assure you a lot of Jews who had the means to leave but declined didn't live long enough to regret it.

I don't regret for a moment my maternal grandparents left Russia in the earliest twentieth century, a step ahead of the latest pogrom.

35. My family is Jewish, and most of them died in Poland.

So your statement lacks historical knowledge or credibility.

Read about the S. S. St. Louis.

And then ask why a free People should leave simply because they are surrounded by a few anti-semitic assholes. It is the vicious racists who Should be obliged to leave.

And did you know that after WWII, several million Jewish refugees who lost everything because their former countries told them due damage they could not prove property they owned for generations was theirs. Did you know that the US only allowed a very limited few Jewish refugees into the US due to its own anti-semitic policies.

And if you go back to the St. Louis, no country would allow them to land.

Your statemnts lack historical knowledge or credibility. They also appear to show that you believe that if one group is disliked they should not have the freedom to stay in their homes.

36. Sometimes brevity is a virtue and saying a lot when you really have nothing to say is a vice.

If you believe that Jews were best served by staying In Hitler's Germany there is nothing I can do to disabuse you of that notion. And it has nothing to do with moving because you are disliked and everything to do with moving because you are disliked, there are those that will act on their hatred, and there are no laws to protect you or the laws are laxly enforced.

Back to my original point, a lot of Jews fled Russia because of the pogroms and I assure you they and their progeny are happy they did.

37. No I believe anyone who thinks Jews or anyone else should leave their home because People don't like

them has no concept of freedom or choice and no knowledge of Jewish History.

Racists who don't like jews should leave. Racists who don't like blacks should leave. Sexists who don't like women to get contraceptives or gays to live in the open should get the fuck out of Dodge.

I find what you said repugnant.

Some of those Jews have lived in France since Romans controled it. Others were forced to leave North Africa or be killed. They didn't leave because someone didn't like them. It was leave or die.

If they want to stay in France, they should stay. People who do not like them can leave.

And for your informtion, Jews in Poland lived reamarkably well until one night when the Germans claimed Poland invaded them, an then attacked Poland. Once the Geramans arrived there was no leaving except to a Concentration Camp. Some of them ended up fighting Nazis as part of the Jewish underground in Eastern Europe. Others hid. They did not have a choice.

You do not know Jewish history very well.

38. I find your suggestion my grandparents should have stayed in Russia

I find your suggestion my maternal grandparents should have stayed in Russia and be subject to the latest pogrom repugnant. And Poland like most of Eastern Europe was rife with anti-semitism. In fact Poland is still rife with anti-semitism:

http://forward.com/articles/191155/poland-poll-reveals-stubborn-anti-semitism-amid-je/?p=all

Frankly I find your suggestion that Europe , especially pre WW ll Europe, was some utopia for Jews laughable.

41. That wasn't what I suggested

In my first post I said people should leave a city, a nation, a hamlet, whatever, if they are being persecuted and there is no law to protect them or the laws are laxly enforced.

One need not be an expert on Judaism to know anti-semitism existed and still continues to exist everywhere, even in the United States.

problem would occur when a Muslim employee might request "special" time off on Fridays for prayer day or other cultural/religious needs. Do you think an employer would be willing to make an exception for that?

"Jew" equals religion equals race equals nationality. That has been the problem for a good many centuries.

Anti-Semitism is deeply engrained in Europe and has been since the collapse of the Roman Empire, not that they were darlings of tolerance. While I doubt a large scale mass execution would take place in Europe again, I do believe it will be more like "death by a thousand cuts" and most won't blink an eye.

Most people that I know have some sort of cultural or religious needs. Apparently only the Jewish ones are enough of a problem to be singled out.

I don't care what their excuses are. Anti-Semites are assholes.
