(36,418 posts)I feel the same kind of disgust for them as for Holocaust Deniers. The same sort of phenomenon at work.

(861 posts)for these deaths. That is just way over the top, and ultimately would lead to censorship, going down that path.

(45,319 posts)Jewish people? Because such crimes are way more common than crimes against Muslims. They are all of them terrible things. There are about 1300 crimes of bias against LGBT people each year, every year there are murders, rapes, savage beatings. When it comes to anti gay bias, it's very clear that a great deal of that is based on religious teachings in Christianity and in Islam. A large percentage of those who attack LGBT people clearly say they act because of their religion. And yet you don't see LGBT people suggesting that those religions need to be censored or limited. And the religious people who want limits to secular speech never, ever suggest that they would accept limits to speech dubbed 'religious'. This means they want to be permitted to attack LGBT people with impunity while being protected from all criticism by 'anti blasphemy' type laws. They want to call me names and attack my family without any recourse for us to respond or protect ourselves.
It is not acceptable, and it will not happen.
