About all the early polling - some of the candidates are well known,

some are just introducing themselves. I suspect that a lot of the polls taken right now are measuring name recognition more than anything else.

John Kennedy used polls to determine what he needed to explain about himself and/or his policies. The media uses polls today to reduce politics to a horse race, even to the point of matching this horse to that horse to see who the winner is.

If the media had to do their job to inform us, it would get messy because honest is hard for them.

They have their agenda, and it's not about informing their viewers.

Far from it.

And yes, if you ask American children who makes the best hamburger, they'll say McDonalds (or maybe Burger King).

Name recognition, exactly.

But that won't stop a certain hard core group *cough* from trumpeting a new one every week, to support the "inevitable meme."

their candidate was the one.

The NYS Primary is scheduled for February 2, 2016 - almost a full year off. I think we need to stick to discussing the candidates for a while, not their polls.

Polls don't decide my vote. Issues, policies, and principles do.
