If you're not knowingly being tracked by Neilsen, what you're watching doesn't count. For some cable/dish systems sure, they can detect what one or more of your TVs are tuned to but they don't know if anyone's actually watching-- and if anyone is, they don't have demographic info on them so it's useless data.

They can change the channels, reset your cable box, shut it down, anything they want. No one needs to fill out a Neilson diary anymore, the data goes directly to the cable companies.
