...of the Clinton fondation donations activities?
Just wondering as in the same time we now learn the the fondation got big donations from countries such as Algeria?
It raises questions as of course, a private mailbox and own servers exchanges are not used for archiving...
I might be wrong but anyway you do kot use a peivate mailbox for professional use without a real reason..
IMHO. ..

(14,733 posts)Just a self-serving attitude. She saw the State Department email system sucked, so rather than getting it upgraded while she was in charge, she just got her own personal system fixed, and let the rest of the State Department suck it, just like republican SoS's before her.

(2,992 posts)Exact. Self service is a good term tu use. In so many ways when it comes to Madame Clinton.

(86,515 posts)the fact that the purse-strings nazis were hell bent on making her life suck by not funding much of the Dept.'s operations so what's a secretary to do? It was probably the most practical response at the time.
Of course, once they see anything that they can attach a label of impropriety to when it comes to Ms.Clinton, she's to be hanged, drown, burned at the stake just like their fundie ancestor puritans did to women who were not entirely conformists to the puritan doctrine or whom some pious putz wanted to see destroyed because maybe she was self confident or gawd forbid, said "no" at a time of uncontrollable desire on the part of the reporter.

(484 posts)We now know that her foundation was in contact with very questionable characters and countries.
She didn't care where the money came from only that it did.

(2,992 posts)The answer is simple, and frankly understandable. People dont want to loose 2016 to Reich wing. Even if that means chose between the very bad and the horrifying.

(8,303 posts)Sorry, she's a lawyer with extensive experience in precisely this type of issue, and she SHOULD HAVE KNOWN NOT TO LET THIS HAPPEN.
For now, I will financially support O'Malley and Sanders.
There's another layer to all this. There was some sort of an FOIA action, and the private email addresses were apparently not disclosed. So now there's another layer of trouble.
She knew she was running, it was her job to prevent this type of situation, and now the voters have to deal with this.
And no, the NYT is not Freeperville:
http://www.nytimes.com/2015/03/04/us/politics/using-private-email-hillary-clinton-thwarted-record-requests.html?_r=0
I am very sorry for those who had a lot invested in her, but that's it for me. There are no perfect candidates and never will be, but this is the type of thing that should not be tolerated in government.

(10,044 posts)about her taking donations from foreign countries, not illegal, but curious. They could be for the Clinton Initiative, but on the same server as State Department business, with no way of checking, they leave themselves wide open for the curious.

(25,023 posts)in a parallel situation. Questions it would be nearly impossible to make completely go away at that.
Even here I have different cover up concerns starting with pure paranoid information control. Perhaps disdain for oversight and transparency.
Maybe, even probably the situation is pretty benign but it is an open invitation to questions and I don't see how any honest person wouldn't at least be able to see why someone would even if they are 110% confident all is on the straight and narrow.
I find it about impossible to believe that anyone honestly thinks that there is no way a fair minded and reasonable person could possibly wonder if everything is above board here.
That seems like whistling past the graveyard to me but I'm far from a fan so my perspective may be colored but I honestly can't think of a single TeaPubliKlan I'd even consider giving the pass to based on benefit of the doubt on such acts and believe one is likely to be on shaky ground if you can't pass that test.
