Unable to resist putting too fine a point on it, the Fox segment specifically cites the fact that websites that claim President Obama was born in Kenya would be sunk with this new system.
I was looking in the dictionary at the various connotations of engage and found this one:
14. to cross weapons; enter into conflict:
"The armies engaged early in the morning."
Their example could easily be "Fox News engaged reality ... and reality won."

(22,665 posts)And so will Fox Entertainment. It does only matter what the viewers want the truth to be. Between the two, it's a symbiotic relationship. Until the money runs out, anyway.

(4,835 posts)The mob was interviewing accountants. They had several candidates with excellent résumés, but they weren't having any luck finding the 'right' person.
Then an applicant came in and they started the interview with the same question that they asked the other perspective employees: "What is two plus two". The accountant looked at the man across the desk, got up, pulled the shades closed and asked "what do you want it to be".
That's the model Fox News uses to get to "the truth".
