“Now we’re going to go for the big enchilada, which is Hillary.”

“Now we’re going to go for the big enchilada, which is Hillary.”

— Sen. Barbara Mikulski (D-MD), quoted by the Baltimore Sun, reflecting on being the first female Democrat elected to the U.S. Senate in her own right.

More enchilada:

Lifetime is exciting does not equal a qualification. If a male had her experience he would be a winner by a long shot. Perhaps when you hear someone say Hillary as the "FIRST WOMAN PRESIDENT" you can say "This person is happy about seeing a woman as president".

I agree the point of being the first woman president is not a qualification, as I said a man with her qualifications would be a really good candidate. Get warmed by the fact she sponsored a bill to increase minimun wages, thinks wage disparity needs attention, we know she is interested in healthcare, women's issue and education.

And then finding out the car is a lemon, would everyone refuse to buy another car because one purchase resulted in being a lemon and remaining without transportaion is better than purchasing another car.

corporate lawyers, no appeal.
As for your example, I would not buy another car from the same company. That is different than not buying another car.
And the TPP, and TTIP, are merely different cars from the same company.

Perhaps consider the problems with the K car won't be solved by buying a Reliant (aka the same damn car with a different label plate slapped on) or by going to the same lot and buying the same car again from a different salesperson.

How many ways are we going to keep tricking ourselves into buying the same shitty car?

Why not just have the entire TPP document, when it is finished and mere mortals are allowed to bask in its entirety, as the platform.
The platform is really just a campaign speech.

Hattie Caraway won 3 elections to the Senate, as a Democrat, in the 1930s: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hattie_Caraway

Is the Baltimore Sun saying those don't count as 'in her own right' since she was appointed to fill the time (about 2 months) between the death of her husband and the special election that she won? Pah.
