Top Kansas Dem: Kris Kobach Is 'The Most Racist Politician In America Today'
One of the top Democrats in Kansas described Secretary of State Kris Kobach (R) as "the most racist politician in America" and called for his resignation on Saturday, according to the Topeka Capital-Journal.
Kansas' state Senate Minority Leader Anthony Hensley (D) was responding to a recent incident in which Kobach appeared to give credence to a racial conspiracy theory during his weekly radio show.
“I want to take this opportunity to call on Kris Kobach, the most racist politician in America today, to resign from office,” Hensley reportedly said during a speech to members of the Kansas Democratic Party at in Topeka.
Hensley described Kobach's comments as “beyond the pale and an embarrassment not only to the Republican Party but an embarrassment to the people of Kansas,” the newspaper reported.
