I just read through the comments on this page and I am just disgusted. The people who write things about her are so over the top I can't believe what I was reading. Of course it is the same stories over and over again. It's like they have some sort of Drudge Cabal telling them what to say and how to say it. And when anyone defends her - those louses leech onto the comments and make even more horrific claims. And none of these people have even seen her show. "I'm gonna cancel my HBO service" - like they ever had it. And if they did, she's been on there for 6 years now.

I can see why Lena Dunham has decided to stay off Social Media. Heck I can see why most celebs are steering clear of it - it's people like this. I don't even like that show Girls - I'm defending Lena Dunham because she is being bullied online by a bunch of cowardly idiots.

Oh yeah and over half of these people claim to be more American than she is. Who decided that one person was more American than the next person?? I'm an American, Lena is an American - don't we get to express our views, too??

...sound like Drudge stuff, let's turn that thought around, and state that Drudge is only a thing because of piggish attitudes like these. The sexism came first; the anonymity of the Internet gave it another voice.
