Petition here to prosecute Repub. Senator' clear violation of the Logan Act by their letter to Iran

The open letter to Iran's leaders by 47 senators of March 9th, warning them that any nuclear deal they sign with the Obama administration won’t last after Obama leaves office, is a clear and direct violation of the Logan Act and is treasonous. This action must not go unaddressed. We petition the White House and the Justice Dept. to take immediate and decisive action.

Please keep kicked and rec'd for others to see and sign.

On edit: There are TWO petitions on the WH Petition site. Sketchy pointed out the other one, which has more than 11,000 sigs, so I have listed the link for it now, above.

( I STILL cannot believe 47 Congress people so proudly broke the law)

What they did is seditiousness...they told a foreign country that the sitting President was to be ignored by the Congress and the foreign country, and that Congress was actually in power.

...shall in all Cases, except Treason, Felony and Breach of the Peace, be privileged from Arrest during their attendance at the Session of their Respective Houses, and in going to and from the same; and for any Speech or Debate in either House, they shall not be questioned in any other Place.

Not defending what these assholes did, but pointing out that it won't--and probably shouldn't--happen.

TPM is already pointing out that the letter is causing a ruckus, as it should, so a petition should, at the very least, let DC notice there are a LOT of people watching events unfold.
