Matthew Pennell has been arrested on 17 counts of sexual exploitation of a child. He is the constituent services representative for Republican U.S. Congressman Tim Huelskamp (photo, top), and was active in local Kansas politics in 2011. Pennell is being held on $75,000 bond.

"Upon learning of his arrest, the Office immediately placed Mr. Pennell on Leave Without Pay until further notice," Huelskamp chief of staff Mark Kelly said in a statement. "Because this is an ongoing investigation, we are unable to provide further comment at this time."...

Rep. Huelskamp was declared the most anti-gay member of Congress in 2012, and has been pushing a bill to amend the U.S. Constitution to ban same-sex marriage.

In 2013, an aide to Republican Senator Lamar Alexander of Tennessee was arrested on child pornography charges. Police found hundreds of videos in the home of Jesse Ryan Loskarn, who later died by suicide.

There are people who had no idea the nice young man next door named Ted Bundy was a crazed sex murderer.

4. Bundy's neighbors did not hire Ted to be a staffer. Let's take a look at Huelkamp's idea of fairness

In his first 18 months, he has authored an amendment to ban a directive that allows military chaplains to voluntarily solemnize same-sex unions, an amendment to “prohibit the use of funds to be used in contravention of the Defense of Marriage Act,” and a bill to ban the use of military facilities for any same-sex unions. He also co-sponsored three measures to criticize the Obama administration for not defending the Defense of Marriage Act, to direct the Speaker of the House to defend the law instead, and to delay implementation of the Don’t Ask Don’t Tell repeal.

So pardon me if I take a pass and let others provide any fairness he might have coming. I think it would be fair to find every photo of the accused and Tim and plaster them over a list of the charges on every front page in America.
