In a nutshell, Walker frequently tells a story about how he got a special invite from Nancy Reagan to speak at the Reagan Library, how he got a special sit-down meeting with Mrs. Reagan, and how she was so moved by his amazing similarities to her late husband that she arranged a surprise for Walker when he went to the Library: Walker would be the first person to touch the Reagan inauguration Bible since the Gipper passed away.
I contacted the Reagan Library and the archivist in charge of the Reagan Bible said that it was Walker, not Nancy Reagan, that made the request to get his picture with the Reagan Bible and that many people have handled the bible since it came to them in 1992.

(70,187 posts)the only one noting that when Walker leaves town--he tells tall tales about his escapades. As I type this I am thinking of how Bill O'Lielly tells tall tales--embellishes his experiences--inserts lies to make the story better. Yup--two peas in a pod.

Scott Walker says he unsealed his records from college: False
http://www.politifact.com/wisconsin/statements/2015/mar/12/scott-walker/where-are-scott-walkers-student-records/
......Yet on Feb. 27, 2015, while attending the Conservative Political Action Conference outside of Washington, D.C. with other potential White House contenders, Walker suggested there was nothing murky at all about his time at Marquette, a Catholic university in Milwaukee.
During an interview with Dana Loesch, a conservative radio and Blaze TV talk show host based in Dallas, Walker made a claim as Loesch prepared to ask a question.
"A lot of folks like myself thought it a little elitist -- because everybodys vetting you now. Youve already been more vetted than the current commander-in-chief," Loesch said.
"Yeah," Walker interjected, with a chuckle. "And more written about my college days than the president. I unsealed my records."
Really?......

On the Capitol: Scott Walker says cabinet created his bald spot

.......He brought it up.
As Gov. Scott Walker was wrapping up his visit Monday with the State Journal editorial board, he joked with cartoonist Phil Hands that Hands draws his ears too big but said the cartoonists portrayal of his bald spot was accurate.
The governor continued.
The bald spot, he said, was the result of a repair incident in the kitchen when he banged his head on an open kitchen cabinet door while making repairs requested by his wife, Tonette.
She kept telling him to go to the doctor to get the scar on his head looked at, he said. When he finally did, the doctor said his hair would never grow back in that spot, the governor explained.
Tonette still points to the bald spot as a reminder that he should always listen to his wife, he said....................

Being cross-eyed is a medical condition --which I do not want to--nor do I think it proper to negatively comment on. Even if treated as a child-the condition can continue into adult life.

And that would have included some of the heaviest hitters in the party.
