the neoconservative are out of favor? Would this have put the neoconservative in a rage enough to orchestrate a letter to Iran?

(73,506 posts)the "establishment" republicans are backing Jeb. For James Baker represents far more than just one of the good old boys who helped steal the 2000 election.
If you take any given city, for example, you have the political machine that the public is fully aware of. But there are others, behind the scenes, that actually are running the machine. The politicians work for them. They are the industry-owners, the bankers, lawyers, etc.
Every so often, one of them moves back and forth, from behind the curtain into the political arena. A great example was W. Averell Harriman. In the recent years, Baker has been the primary example. He has been involved in literally every republican administration since Nixon's. His roles have officially been different in various administrations, his over-all position has been huge since the Reagan administration.
His joining with Jeb is far more significant than just what he was part of in Bush v Gore.

(16,161 posts)refer to him as "jeb". He is John Ellis Bush, not some oh shucks nice guy.
Baker/Botts and whatever represents one of the finest crime families in the U.S. of A. in my opinion.
Their name starts with a "b"
