Phony Reimbursements Led to Schock’s Resignation

“On Monday evening, Politico began asking questions about tens of thousands of dollars of reimbursements he received from his campaign and federal government for mileage put on his personal car. Records show that Schock personally claimed reimbursement for roughly 170,000 miles driven from January 2010 to July 2014. But the only vehicle he owned during that time was sold with just 80,000 miles on the odometer.”

“Asked for his response to those findings, Schock announced his resignation.”

The Hill: “His decision means congressional investigators will likely drop their probe into possible ethics violations because they no longer have jurisdiction. But Schock could still face criminal charges related to some of his questionable, excessive spending. That could add up to staggering legal fees, a possible court case and even jail time.”

His platform was based on eliminating support for the needy because they are "leeches."

FUCK. HIM.

He'll probably get a high paying job at the Heritage Foundation.

Of all the things he could cheat on, he picked the thing that can be caught with a quick glance at his car's dashboard? I swear these sociopaths get to the point of thinking of themselves as gods, not accountable to anybody.

Aaron Schock's Dad: 'Two Years from Now, He'll be Successful, if He's Not in Jail'

March 18th, 2015

Rep. Aaron Schock, who resigned from Congress yesterday over allegations that he’d improperly spent taxpayer money, has at least one person in that corner. Sadly, it’s not Taylor Swift. But it is his dad!

And apparently, his dad is firmly in his son’s corner. Ish.

“Two years from now he’ll be successful, if he’s not in jail,” Dr. Richard Schock told a reporter from Chicago’s ABC7 outside his home in Peoria, Ill. “If they’re going to convict him on paperwork, then they’re going to convict him. That’s their privilege. They’re out to get him and they’re making issues out of things that really shouldn’t be issues.”

Schock’s departure means that a congressional inquiry into his well-documented spending habits will be dropped, though a criminal investigation is still possible. Dr. Schock said that his son didn’t “want to bring [supporters] into courts & have them be subpoenaed & everything” — hence his resignation.

As for the current state of Schock, his dad said that his son was “broken” but a “fighter.”

“In his heart he’s always wanted to do what was right and what was good and he got a little careless,” he told media.

pretty empty of honesty and morals.
His main trick appears to be to try to not get caught with the hand in the cookie jar.
