White House to Cheney: We’re ‘More than Happy’ to Compare Our Econ Record with Bush

White House to Cheney: We’re ‘More than Happy’ to Compare Our Econ Record with Bush
by Andrew Kirell | 4:34 pm, March 18th, 2015 video 116

The Obama administration would be more than happy to compare its economic record with that of the Bush administrations, according to White House senior advisor David Simas.

In an interview with CNN’s New Day, Simas was asked to respond to former Vice President Dick Cheney‘s comments in Playboy suggesting President Barack Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder “play the race card” and that the previous administration’s economic record is being dismantled by the current group’s policies.

“We’re more than happy to compare the record of this administration over the past six years that inherited the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression and is in the fifth year of record job creation, which is the fastest pace in this country’s history,” Simas told CNN anchor Alisyn Camerota. “We’ve taken historic deficits and reduced them by two-thirds and we’re gradually bringing to an end to two wars that the previous administration got into.”

Simas challenged Cheney to have an actual debate on the “merits” of policy. “This is a great debate between two contrasting visions,” he added.

Why do they even listen to this guy? He ignored the warnings of Richard Clark, He lied about the intel to promote the invasion of Iraq, He pushed for those devastating tax cuts. What did he get right? But yet he still has an audiance with the corporate media.

When he does not feel like talking, his vile offspring Lizard goes on Fox and says what he tells her to, Not surprisingly, she is one joyless bitch, never smiles. I do not think she can, which is a shame for her 5 kids.

Cheney knows it. Frankly, it just doesn't matter how many times or ways he denigrates and disparages those who follow in the White House. The administration that he was so deeply associated with will continue to be deemed as one of the worst in American history - in almost every conceivable way, and by every conceivable measurement. An epic fail.

Based on that reality, it's easy to see why he chooses to flail and point fingers at anyone else; we should expect him to continue to do so until his dying breath. After his passing, we can assume his daughter will assume the perfidious torch.

His actions, and those of his supposed boss, forever stained the names and legacy's of their families.

But KRMG *did* play quotes from Cheney's interview the other day...

Part and parcel of Fox "news" strategy: air accusations, ignore refutations.

They've been reduced to talking about the most obvious differences. To me, the most obvious difference is the President's success. Not through force, but through alliances. My thing with Chaney is his involvement with Rumsfeld in the Mayaquez. It seems we left some troops behind. The man is useless and very costly to have around. Bush/Chaney panicked.
