What does a one legged Jewish man and the Civil Rights movement have in common...

Jim Letherer, a one-legged observant Jew who walked 50 miles on crutches from Selma to Montgomery, Alabama in 1965 to support the rights of African-Americans in the Civil Rights Movement.

But I doubt he would have wanted that. He is a man who showed his humanity and stood by the side of righteousness. And for that he is MY hero.
