Assange likely to remain in embassy (Reuters)

BY MARK HOSENBALL
WASHINGTON Thu Mar 19, 2015 4:04pm EDT
... Michael Ratner, a U.S. lawyer who represents Assange and WikiLeaks, said if Assange left the embassy, where he has been holed up for just over 1,000 days, he was likely to be arrested by British authorities and risked being extradited to America. "Even were the Swedish case to be disposed of, the U.K. would arrest Assange upon leaving the embassy for claimed violations of bail conditions or something similar," Ratner told Reuters ...

It boggles the mind that a single person could have so much bad luck! First, pretty Swedish women claim he sexually assaulted them! Next, out of the blue, authorities in the UK want to claim he jumped bail! The only possible explanation is a great international conspiracy against the poor fellow! Fortunately for us all, he has developed the courage never to go outside!

3. Ratner is explaining why St Julian must bravely remain in the embassy even if Sweden drops charges

I know it's confusing, but there are so many different lawyers representing Assange that everyone, who actually does anything during the day, has lost count of them all; and his lawyers pop up, here and there, like jack-in-the-box clowns, making statements and then disappearing again, before anybody can figure out what's being said

Just a few days ago, "Assange's lawyer" Per Samuelson was cheering an announcement that Swedish prosecutors were willing to interview Assange at the Ecuadorian embassy: Samuleson said their failure to do so before "has kept Julian Assange in the embassy for over two-and-a-half years now"

But if that excuse for embassy-squatting fails, St Julian may need another excuse, so "Assange's lawyer" Michael Ratner next pops up to point out that if Swedish gangsters decide against whisking the saint to his certain death, vicious thugs in the UK are poised to take over the task

He is fortunate indeed to have so many lawyers to advise him, for nefarious plots surround him. A while ago, he informed the Australian consulate he needed a passport. The consulate suggested he just come there get one. Well! I'm sure you can see by now that this could only have been a transparent plot against his honor and his life, not to mention the fact that the offer insulted every right-thinking Australian and Ecuadorian in the world!

Where does Julian get any $$$$$?

Extradition to the US, hmmm, what charges have been filed against him and what arrest warrants?

1000 plus days, OMG, that long to be a drama monarch over nonexistent US charges and to avoid Swedish law!

5. I suspect Mr Ratner does it for the pure honor of being known as Assange's attorney

since the quality of his argument does not suggest he is being paid for his legal skill
