House GOPers Promote Immigration Bill Using Only GIFs Of White People

The House Judiciary Committee on Wednesday issued a press release filled with GIFs of celebrities like Jennifer Lawrence and Britney Spears to promote a Republican-sponsored immigration bill.

The press release trumpeted how a bill known as the Michael J. Davis, Jr. in Honor Of State And Local Law Enforcement Act would allow local and state law enforcement to take federal immigration law into their own hands.

"Right now, one single person – the President of the United States – can turn off the enforcement of our immigration laws unilaterally. For real," the press release read. "And that’s just what President Obama has done," it continued. "Since he’s the boss of federal immigration enforcement officers, he’s told them to stop enforcing our immigration laws."

One GIF included in the press release dubbed it "not cool" that Obama's executive actions on immigration would encourage illegal migration to the U.S.:

I looked at it yesterday. Not only is it full of shocked white chicks (and one white dude), but the pictures don't even relate in any meaningful way to the text. It's just distracting and obnoxious. It's like they thought they could just insert GIFs and then the millenials would be all over it.

Good golly.

I gather that all of those celebrities gave consent for their likeness to be used in that.
