Last Saturday, Ted Cruz and Rick Santorum addressed the South Carolina National Security Action Summit, an event thrown by the conservative Secure Freedom, Breitbart News, and High Frontier.
While speaking, kinda-sorta-maybe 2016 candidate Santorum took a question that sounded like it sprang from the logical depths of a demented C-SPAN caller.
“Why is the Congress rolling over and letting this communist dictator (Barack Obama) destroy my country?” the attendee inquired. “Y’all know what he is, and I know what he is. I want him out of the White House. He’s not a citizen. He could have been removed a long time ago. ... He’s trying to destroy the United States. The Congress knows this. What kind of games is the Congress of the United States playing with the citizens of the United States? … I don’t think the country will be around for the next election. Obama tried to blow up a nuke in Charleston a few months ago, and the three admirals and generals—he has totally destroyed our military. He’s fired all the generals and all the admirals that said they wouldn’t fire on the American people, if you asked them to do so, if he wanted to take the guns away from them.”
There’s a lot going on in that last paragraph. (Fortunately, Bloomberg reporter Dave Weigel penned a helpful rundown for you.) Okay. Santorum believes some crazy shit, but he doesn’t appear to buy into this. But some people do. Here’s why.

The idea being that Americans refuse to kill other Americans. He ignores the gun violence statistics in those tirades, and is a 2nd Amendment Solution Absolutionist.
EVERY event is framed by him as a false flag for Obama to 'take our guns.' The NRA wasn't radical enough for him, so he promoted Larry Pratt. He is the producer of 'The Obama Deception,' 'Police State,' 'EndGame,' and other such available on youtube, seen by many millions around the globe. He's got quite a universe, there.
His main worry is one demographic, White, Christian Americans or as he calls them, Patriots, who are the target of government, and must become more armed, militant and ready to kill others in self-defense. He heavily promoted Adam Kokesh and justified the killings of police by Jared Miller. Said it was pre-emptive and killing those cops on the beat was fair, things being what he says they are. Those killed were not doing something belligerent other than being LEOs, and the cowardly method used was an ambush.
Rand Paul calls for private security and militias, when he doesn't want to bomb someone or put boots on the ground for Israel. Although he'd be in favor of paying tax money to mercenaries of the Blackwater ilk, so he might be consistent there. He was first to bring Bill's pecadilloes to smear HRC. He says legalizing same sex nuptials leads to beastiality.
SPLC's earlier pages on Jones and his Libertarian Patriot movement were comical, but they have edited it and now admit he has become a potent force in America. He is a fervent supporter of Ron Paul and his son Rand. He's done interviews with the head of the John Birch Society, in a worshipful tone. Just as with the Father of Reaganomics, Paul Craig Roberts. Who has not repented of what Reaganomics did the unions, middle class Americans, etc. but says we need more of it.
Jones says in this video, but also in many others, that 'homosexuality is a government plot' to destroy the family and heterosexuals by making 'real men' effeminate and willing to accept the NWO. He is in favor of personhood bills and the abolition of all government services, one of them being the Post Office. Told his rural listeners that red or blue dots on mail boxes are there to identify Patriots to be taken off to FEMA camps and killed. He is a source of the stories of guillotines to execute Patriots, buying of coffins, and the purchases of additional bullets to be used by security at Social Security offices. He promotes a lot of fear and was part of the Y2K hysteria.
He wants all government agencies gone that doesn't agree with his brand of Libertarianism, which is Tenther Solution and dissolution.
And like Romney, the Birchers and the Koch brothers, he wants the public schools gone. Just as the Koch brothers and John Birch Society said, he calls public schools 'indoctrination' against the family, teaching toddlers about gays, etc.
Oh, and socialism and communism. He sent his troops to go and convert Occupy demonstrators into Paulites and they are now one of the voices we hear. It was imperative to change their focus, he said. They needed to take the Occupy focus off opposing Wall Street and falling for socialism (social safety net and regulation on banks, etc.) and to support free market capitalism. He appeals to 'liberals' who are for freedom but the rest pours into their heads at the same time and in the end results in supporting what the right wants.
Never underestimate the power of genius or wealth. They are often in the same chess set.
His agenda is no different than that of the Koch Libertarians as revealed by ALEC Exposed, Bernie Sanders and Harry Reid. As the latter were getting sustained media attention, the corporate media spent a week to wash the viewers minds clean of the revelations with the week long promotion of the Bundyfest. He hosts people who disrespect the USA while living in foreign lands and call us still here fools, unless they are Patriots like him.
He never speaks for LGBTs, women and minorities, nor the environment or the poor, calls Democrats traitors, and liberals and progressives 'tools.' Anyone who has really researched this guy knows he's a Reaganite turned Bircher, or perhaps always was one. Yet he gets a pass because he tells TheTruth©.
He has predicted a lot of horrific things. None has come to pass, but he's like an addiction. People that listen to him feel they are more informed than 'the sheeple,' that is, everyone who is not in the Infowars media cult.

As for the other parts of your comment, I can't help but wonder now if he and some of those other people I go to school with believe that stuff that comes out of AJ's mouth. I'd like to think that someone who attends a politics course at a 4-year university wouldn't believe the wildest CTs imaginable about the government and about "militias", but then again--you never know.
I mean, how else will he be able to declare martial law, confiscate everyone's guns and ship us to all the prison-style FEMA camps he had built all over the country? Think, man, think!!!!!!!
