(9,033 posts)that is defined as "giving a clear warning and a means of exit" before using tear gas, pepper spray, etc.? Or for prohibiting using same to disperse peaceful protesters?...Christ on a cracker, this country is far down the road to hell.
And is any of our own media reporting on this, and the implications, or just the foreign press?

(85,986 posts)...who have been regularly defamed in their efforts. It certainly is progress to have authorities recognize those rights to demonstrate peacefully without being met with unjust or undue force by police which many of us feel should be automatically assumed and granted. It's also, as you say, pathetic to need to petition for those rights. I certainly welcome this development and look forward to determining whether the prohibitions and oversight actually make a difference.
