Church of Scientology desperately trashes documentary

http://www.alternet.org/media/6-desperate-ways-church-scientology-trying-stop-going-clear

"Going Clear" is documentary wherein several Ex-Scientologists are interviewed about their experiences in the Church of Scientology.

The CoS meanwhile is none too happy with the existence of this movie:

1. Buying a Super-Bowl ad that praised the E-meter as the fusion of science and religion into a "spiritual technology".

2. When asked to respond to 20 questions about the movie for an article, instead of answering them, the CoS responded with a 5-page hit-piece calling everybody in the movie a liar.

3. The CoS produced a mini-series of "documentaries", calling everybody in the movie a liar.

4. Buying Google Ads to intercept people looking for info about the movie.

5. Starting a media-watchdog organization with the sole purpose of trashing the movie. ("Horrible score. Like nails on a chalkboard.&quot

6. Buying a full-page ad in the NYT, how this movie is just like Rolling Stone's sloppy reporting on the UVA rape.
