Jeb Bush On Indiana Religious Freedom Law: Governor Pence Has Done The Right Thing [AUDIO]
In a Monday interview, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush stood by Indiana Gov. Mike Pence in the midst of backlash against the recent religious freedom law passed in the Hoosier State.
Appearing on The Hugh Hewitt Show Monday afternoon, Bush told Hewitt that Pence has done the right thing by passing the law, which he said mirrors the one passed by former President Bill Clinton in 1993.
I think if they actually got briefed on the law, they wouldnt be blasting this law, Bush said. I think Governor Pence has done the right thing. Florida has a law like this. Bill Clinton signed a law like this at the federal level. This is simply allowing people of faith space to be able to express their beliefs. To be able to be people of conscience. I think once the facts are established, people arent going to see this as discriminatory at all.

After they get it THEN they try to go all "moderate" to get us rubes to vote for them. It ain't working anymore though.

(82,849 posts)Bookmark this, because when the lie is put to Jeb!'s talking points, he'll deny he ever said such a thing. Indiana's law is not like Florida's, it is not like the federal law. It goes a whole dimension further, by design, intended to let bigots off the hook for their bigotry. Jeb! is on the wrong side of this, and his penny loafers are so far down his throat, he's going to give his tongue shin splints.
Dumbass motherfucker. And he's supposed to be the smart one.

(42,641 posts)The RFRA signed by William Clinton in 1993 was designed to protect native religions from Federal interference. So either Jeb Bush
1) does not know this, in which case he is ignorant, or
2) he does know this, in which case he is a liar.
I am comfortable with either answer. But to claim that the law is designed to allow people of faith to express their beliefs is a definite lie. There is no obstacle to people expressing their beliefs, but discriminating against any protected class of people is always against the law.

(23,083 posts)If he's for it, I'm against it - ALWAYS. He tries to sound moderate some of the time, but he isn't that at all. He's a ball breaking, 1%, corporatist convervative who also pretends to be a fundamentalist because that's where the Repug base is. I think his only true compass is what's good for his family and the other uber 1%ers and fuck everyone and everything else.

That's what they do, don't they? They insult us, tell us we don't understand it, then proceed to tell us the 'correct' interpretation (i.e. they lie).
Sociopaths, the whole lot of them.

After we voted several times for amendments like light rail, he soimply changed it to where you need more than 60 percent. This is exactly why Medical MJ failed, even though it got more than 51 percent of the votes needed.
He will simply usewh at he wants, and ignore the rest, the rest being mostly made of you and me.
