KY says gay marriage ban ok because straight people can't marry someone of the same sex...

...either...yeah, they really are arguing this.

http://news.yahoo.com/kentucky-argues-brief-gay-marriage-ban-not-biased-165105394.html

FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) — Gov. Steve Beshear's administration is arguing in a brief filed with the U.S. Supreme Court that Kentucky's ban on gay marriage isn't discriminatory because it bars both gay and straight people from same-sex unions.

The brief argues that because Kentucky's law bars everyone from same-sex marriage, it isn't discriminatory and should be upheld.

Attorney Dan Canon, who represents six gay couples challenging Kentucky's gay marriage ban, told The Courier-Journal (http://cjky.it/1EZ2tMy) that the argument in the brief filed last week is "especially absurd."

that a law barring Christians and Jews from marrying isn't discriminatory because it doesn't just restrict Jews from marrying Christians, it restricts Christians from marrying Jews.

or as much sense as passing a law barring men and women of the same religion from marrying each other and defending it because it doesn't just bar two Jews from marrying each other but also bars two Christians from marrying eaach other.

In other words, it doesn't make any sense at all.

would say.

Therefore, when you are using hate as your ONLY motivation or use of reason and common sense, you will often run into these situations where sense is not common and reason is not reasonable and as a result what you are saying makes you look like a fucking moron.

Stupid people. It isn't about the right to marry in general - it's about the right to marry the person you love.

The law, in its majestic equality, forbids the rich as well as the poor to sleep under bridges, to beg in the streets, and to steal bread.

My, how times sometimes don't change.
