Lawyers on Strike Blog: FBI on Amanda Knox Death Threats

There's a very cool blog by an attorney titled "Lawyers on Strike". On the counselor's "About" page, it stipulates that "The author is a lawyer. Sometimes". Before I do a banter upon the Amanda Knox case, we shall first see why I like this attorney at law. For it is written there - that;

There is a huge gulf between the public perception of the legal system in the US and its reality. In public perception, injured people get outrageously high monetary awards and criminal defendants are coddled or acquitted.

The reality is that injured people and criminal defendants get screwed. It happens so much, so often, so egregiously that many lawyers would simply quit if they knew what else to do.

As noted by the Lawyers on Strike Blog (here), Amanda Knox is being attacked on many fronts. There's also a note from the Lawyers on Strike Blog (pic above therefrom) about the fact that the Judge who ruled the case against Amanda was bogus - also is being harassed beyond compare.

The Blog concludes that there is too little compensation to those that are destroyed by legal malfunctioning cases. Of this many of U.S. here in America agree. Often those found not guilty a decade or more later after they were incorrectly incarcerated, are faced with the choice of signing pleas of no contest - just to get back their freedom they deserve.

At least in Italy (as the Lawyers on Strike blog iterates) - there's a rule of law that the innocent MUST go free.

Not so - here in America!

I'm just curious, as the Lawyers on Strike points out - if any here still think Knox is guilty....As the pic above shows (from the U.K. Mirror) - Amanda on the left and the deceased/killed Meredith on the right. Who is to blame and why the prosecutors played such national stage games......

just sayin.......

there was a 'brand new' DUer who had apparently signed up simply to post what looked like cut and paste textwalls about how she was convinced Knox was guilty. Iirc, she wasn't a lawyer, had no real connection to the case, was just some person on the internet who had invested so much in declaring that Knox was guilty that she was doing web searches to find sites where people were discussing the Knox case just so she could sign up and do her cut and paste routine to try and convince more people that Knox was guilty. Struck me as kinda creepy.

I don't know if it's beyond repair. I voted Amanda Knox is not guilty. I have not seen one shred of evidence that proves her guilty and I have seen a lot of incompetence from the Italian system and the people who work in it. They also failed big time to establish a motive and furthermore they have someone in custody that was actually there and actually killed her. He didn't need help like so many that are convinced Amanda is guilty are saying.
