2. I have HBO
I only watched the first season. It just doesn't seem like a show for liberals. So much killing and violence. Surprised it is popular here.

5. It portrays what happens when
a few rich and powerful groups fight over control of everything, leaving the populace a wreck in their wake.
It is the portrayal of the 1% in full control. A very liberal show. |

9. I don't think people watch and think most of the
characters are heroic, maybe Jon Snow, but most are evil bastards.

17. There are other things as well
There is an extensively thought out theory connecting man made climate change to the whole winter vs summer theme in the show. Basically when men do something to throw nature out of balance, the long winters come, and you probably remember from season 1 what that means in their world.

8. If you like politics....then you may enjoy the other seasons.
It's the political game of character interaction that keeps us on the ended of our seats.

15. The kid just gets it in the hole.
What he is doing this week is astonishing.
A feiend used to caddy at Chicago Golf Club back in the day, where Ben Crenshaw is a national member. He said you would go to the range and there would be 3 or 4 other members with nicer swings, better ball striking. But once on the course with money on the table, it was not even close. Speith reminds me of Crenshaw. Tour pros are that good. |
