Anne of Green Gables fans...Jonathan Crombie has passed

My wife beg me to post this. She was a HUGE fan of the Anne of Green Gable series and did have a crush on Jonathan as a kid.

Jonathan Crombie, the actor who played Gilbert Blythe on the popular CBC Anne of Green Gables miniseries, has died.

His sister, Carrie Crombie, confirmed to CBC that Crombie died of a brain hemorrhage in New York City this past Wednesday. He was 48.

2. I was watching tis in the hospital

during a long labor with my second child. Made the hours go by better than any breathing exercises! Then, 16 years later, she and her friend watched it with me and we fell in love with Gilbert all over again.

3. My 2 kids and I, after enjoying the PBS series in the 1980s, started reading the books

aloud together after dinner each night. (We usually did an outloud read after dinner, instead of watching TV.)

We loved those books.

4. I had a crush on him too. What a great series that was.
