of insulting Islam and provoking Muslims.

I expect to hear her gloating about the deaths and insulting Muslims within minutes. Her minions are now calling for all Muslims to be thrown out of the US.

I expect anti-Muslim violence to escalate drastically now.

Seems those that commit murder in defence of perceived slights gains it are doing that just fine on their own.

I hadn't heard of her until today.

I support any sort of speech that doesn't advocate criminal acts.

because their motive was retaliation against people expressing speech they didn't like?

You realize all you're doing is taking a radical right-wing position on the part of an outgroup?

Seriously, your comment is despicable.

An American can draw an insulting picture of a religious figure if they goddamn well feel like it.

In fact, how dare you call it a "provocation" to murder to simply draw cartoons of someone who died 1400 years ago?

If I draw a stick figure and label it "Mohammed," you're saying I'm inviting my own brutal murder?

Or if I illustrate a koranic scene where he does something horrible that his own believers say he did, that would be a provocation?

What is it you don't understand about freedom of religion?

My first guess based on the circumstances and past incidents would be that muslim fundamentalists were involved in the shooting. I'd be willing to bet on it in this case, but I'd also be willing to be proved wrong. I doubt I will be. no religion likes to be mocked. Only one kills people over pictures of their prophet/figurehead.

completely unrelated. The event was inside a building, and the shooting happened among cars passing by. I don't think they know yet what exactly went on. Road rage or directed at the event.
