The funy things that are said by Darrell Issa - Americas Poor are envy of the world

Darrell Issa, the richest man in Congress, said America has made "our poor somewhat the envy of the world."

Asked by CNNMoney whether he feels personally responsible to address income inequality in the United States, the Republican Congressman from California said "absolutely." But he noted that America is the richest country on earth and implied that those in poverty here are better off than the poor in other nations.

4. Government helps some kids, but...

Census Bureau: California still has highest U.S. poverty rate

25 Percent Of People In Mississippi Can't Afford Food

Measuring Access to Opportunity
The Supplemental Poverty Measure gauges the effectiveness of government programs in alleviating economic hardship. In a new data snapshot that explores the measure, KIDS COUNT calculates the national child poverty rate with and without government interventions. The supplemental measure shows that 11.2 million more kids would be living in poverty without key safety-net programs.

6. Our poor are the envy of a lot of the world

People risk their lives and give up everything they have and everyone they know for the chance to be poor in the US.

9. Just because America's poor are better off than those living in third world nations

does not mean the problem of income equality should not be addressed.

Issa is an asshat, and I would expect nothing less from a Repuke 1%er.
