It has a solid message in it. She can play and has a good voice. Uh... it's not a fucking ukulele? That's a positive.
One technical critique - the guitar drowns out her voice pretty badly. Even with the two mic setup, the strumming is killing the lyrics.
But... okay... I'm kinda sick of folksy jangly warbly songs. yes, I get that it "hearkens back" but, you know, folksy and jangly was about all America had by way of music for a pretty long time. We've made innovations! I dunno, maybe it's just me, but... I hear this style and the only thing that comes to my mind is this commercial:
(which by the way, is in fact 100% representative of Oregon, except that it's not a ukulele. Yes again, I know)
It's a matter of taste I suppose, but, oof.

I imagine the sound issue is an editing problem though, sound compression when prepping the video for youtube.
