Such as those strange "liberals" who support the oppressor Muslim leaders when they should be supporting the oppressed Muslim rank in file. Or those who say "you can't criticize Islam because ... religion, because racism, because bigotry. What are really saying is that for some unfathomable reason they refuse to condemn misogyny and homophobia from a Muslim right-wing radical, but feel it's perfectly alright to condemn misogyny and homophobia from Christian right-wing radical.

I say anything that calls attention to how truly bad radical right-wing Islam is can't be all bad. I don't see how it's any different from "provoking" Westboro Baptist, except maybe that Westboro Baptist hasn't taken up threats of murder as their method of silencing dissent, making Westboro Baptist somewhat more civilized than Islam.

The thing is yr in a thread about a revolting anti-Muslim bigot now going into hiding. The Muslims he targeted with his 'protest' today aren't radical right-wing Muslims, nor are the leaders of the mosque itself.

And the likes of him and Pamela Geller are all bad. They don't have any redeeming features whatsoever....

1-What did the people at that Mosque do to deserve to be met with hate? 2-You're so caught up in rightwing muslim extremism but defend the rightwing christian extremists protesting? 3-Who are the extremists?

These Muslims did nothing wrong, what is being protested is their existence.

You don't get to be the person advocating for harassment of believers, and then turn around and play the innocent victim of religious evangelism.

You got called out for your bullshit. Deal with it.

If you had taken 3 minutes of your time to check out their web page, you would have known that. Your slip is showing.

The Islamic Community Center of Phoenix joined global, national and local Muslim scholars and leaders in refuting the ideology of the terrorist group ISIS, we are urging ISIS supporters to repent and return to the religion of mercy. Or Imam Sheikh Mahmoud Sulaiman & many others such as Sheikh Abdullah bin Bayyah have given Friday sermons and wrote articles to denounce ISIS misguided philosophy, also a group of over 125 of the world’s top Islamic scholars have written an open letter to the self-declared leader of ISIS “Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi”.

Coward. What do people do if they have no place to hide and are not responsible for the hate-filled climate he has created in Phoenix? Freedom of speech does not make being irresponsible okay. The way I see it is that he's in danger of being hurt by EITHER side of the issue by folks who want peace...

32. Islamic Community Center of Phoenix has publicly condemned ISIS
Sat May 30, 2015, 11:20 AM
May 2015

The GunNuts are menacing a peaceful Muslim community that has done EXACTLY what Western democracies have demanded (with good reason) that they do: condemn ISIS and urged ISIS supporters to repent and return to the religion of mercy.

The imams of ICCP, by signing this open letter to the leader of ISIS and denouncing his followers, they have literally put their own lives in danger. So they have the GunNuts against them on the one hand, and ISIS supporters against them on the other hand.

The Islamic Community Center of Phoenix joined global, national and local Muslim scholars and leaders in refuting the ideology of the terrorist group ISIS, we are urging ISIS supporters to repent and return to the religion of mercy. Or Imam Sheikh Mahmoud Sulaiman & many others such as Sheikh Abdullah bin Bayyah have given Friday sermons and wrote articles to denounce ISIS misguided philosophy, also a group of over 125 of the world’s top Islamic scholars have written an open letter to the self-declared leader of ISIS “Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi”.

http://iccpaz.com/iccp-condemns-isis/

The fact that the leadership of this mosque has come out AGAINST Islamic State should tell you something about their values

(reposting from yesterday http://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=view_post&forum=1014&pid=1104841)

On edit: Upon listening to this guy for 4 mins on the video link, he says "Until these people start to police their own, this is what is going to happen". If he had done 3 minutes of research, like I did, he would know that he is harassing the wrong mosque, for those who are posting like this mosque is a hotbed of radical Islamists.

He is harassing Muslims, period. Not radical Islamists.

Just ordinary Muslims, practicing their freedom of religion, a right guaranteed to them by the US Constitution.
