A little odd for DU

When I open the "latest threads" page, an ad for the NRA comes up next to the list of topics. I guess DU does not control the pop-ups.

...its normally based on your search histoy/ cookies ect.

Google's PCs are not smart enough to see if it pro or con discussion, they just key in on certain phrases or words.

I do get a lot of ads related to my previous searches, and some of the ads seem to relate to the discussion. I guess DU cannot "custom tailor" its hosting. I wonder if the NRA knows it's being advertised on DU.

eliminates ads.
Well worth it, especially since so many other sites bombard you with ads, even make one wait up to 30 seconds before you can see the site.
And, yes, they certainly react to cookies, as I see it every day on Facebook, showing the exact item I saw on other sites within seconds.
