When I open the "latest threads" page, an ad for the NRA comes up next to the list of topics. I guess DU does not control the pop-ups.

(6,409 posts)I do get a lot of ads related to my previous searches, and some of the ads seem to relate to the discussion. I guess DU cannot "custom tailor" its hosting. I wonder if the NRA knows it's being advertised on DU.

Well worth it, especially since so many other sites bombard you with ads, even make one wait up to 30 seconds before you can see the site.
And, yes, they certainly react to cookies, as I see it every day on Facebook, showing the exact item I saw on other sites within seconds.
