Today's ACA decision was 6-3 with Roberts and Kennedy swinging left -- not the first time they've done this. We'll see what happens with the rest of the rulings but I think the "it's about the Supreme Court" argument is diluted under the circumstances.

As Ruth Bader Ginsberg is not going to last forever.... despite how I wish she could. We need to keep a Democratic president in control. What we need to do is work on voting districts to make them more diverse and to work toward electing Democrats to the House and Senate.

The mantra remains, "It's still the Supreme Court, Stupid."

when the newly-elected Obama had a Democratic House and Senate. And speaking of House and Senate, just electing Democrats to those bodies doesn't seem to have much of an affect as can be seen by the passage of the TPP and so many other pieces of corporate-friendly legislation.

That's your solution? She should have stepped down when Obama was newly elected? Unbelievable....

If you don't like the decisions being made by Congress then work to get your candidates elected there as you are working for your presidential candidate. Work for the change you want... don't just complain about it.

You're still better off with Democrats in office than Republicns.

The odds are: slim, none, less than none-and not necessarily in that order.

the Clinton faction have clarly repreesnted over and over they will vote for the Dem Nominee, to ensureWH residency. The Bernie faction, not so much. Vocally and repeatedly a growing crowd crowing over the fact they will sit out the General Election or cast a vote elsewhere if Clinton is the Nominee.

Not only SCOTUS in the balance, but also the fact that many GOP'er are running on the platform of repealing Obamacare as item #1 on their agenda....heaven help women and their choices if a Republican gets into office.

Approval of her Wall Street and corporate backers. They would have to support Citizens United. As another DUer put it a few days back:

"Here's the script, kiddos!

Corporate input on Supreme Court appointments:

"Here's the deal. Your supreme court nominations can be soft on social issues. We don't give a fuck if gays marry or women can get abortions. Makes no difference to our profiteering. But by god they better leave Citizens United in place and not approve prosecution of war crimes.""
