This is my first and biggest proof that the Confederate Stars and Bars flag is a sign of racism. I grew up in rural Pennsylvania which was clearly a state that was part of the Yankee Union. Yet there were people who flew that flag proudly. I could understand if someone lived in the south, if your screen name was 'safeinmississippi' or 'safeingeorgia' or I grew up somewhere in the rural south. But clearly we were not from areas of the south so why would anyone fly that flag unless they wanted to say 'I'm a white asshole' or somehow felt their white status made them superior to other races?
