Not Florida: Man arrested for sex with dogs, horse

SPOKANE, Wash. - The Spokane County Sheriff's Office says they have arrested a man accused of filming himself having sexual contact with several animals, and then threatening to kill people he thought turned the videos over to (Spokane County Regional Animal Protection Service).

Deputy Mark Gregory told KHQ the videos show 45-year-old Travis Joy having sexual relations with three dogs and a horse. Gregory says the videos were turned over to SCRAPS, and Joy then threatened to kill the people responsible for turning it in. After watching the videos, deputies were able to determine where the videos were shot and who was in it. Deputies determined the incidents took place in the Hillyard and Elk area. Deputies were able to identify Joy in the videos based on distinct tattoos and physical characteristics.

If the horse suffered in any way, then I say nail him for that too. I'm not sick enough to want to watch the videos, but I am willing to at least keep my mind open to the possibility that the horse might have been enjoying a nice feedbag of some treat. WAS cruelty involved? And, honestly, I don't really care if the creep is incarcerated for the horse. I'm just thinking "out loud." BTW, I'm perfectly happy with your free expression of your opinion.

HOWEVER... the use of animals for human sexual pleasure is pretty much defined under "cruelty to animals" in those states which don't have a separate bestiality statute.

Some exceptions exist in those statutes for commercial semen operations.

(you know, bulls, horses, etc. - big animals which are bred by artificial insemination to avoid injuries. Odd thing is that thoroughbred horses are required to naturally copulate. I believe the reason for that is to avoid semen fraud. But, anyway, they obtain the semen through manual stimulation. I understand there is big money in bull semen.)

20. Maybe, but it's as old as domesticated animals themselves. The biggest reason it's relatively rare

in our society is that so few people keep livestock. No matter what local religions may say about it - or not - the animals a man spends long hours tending are typically far, far more available and safe than a neighbor's wife or daughter.

As for not belonging on a political forum, in a land where all men are entitled to life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness, among other undefined rights, laws interfering with an individual's freedom always need to be scrutinized, even when the actions are generally considered disgusting.
