Grifters, War Mongers, and Duck Dynasty at Pro-war Iran Lallapalooza

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2015/09/09/1419712/-Grifters-Palin-nutcases-Duck-Dynasty-and-GOP-leaders-Trump-Cruz-to-hold-pro-war-rally

snip:
Donald Trump, Sen. Ted Cruz, Sarah Palin, and Duck Dynasty star Phil Robertson will all be on hand for a pro-war, anti-Iran deal rally to be held at the Capitol Wednesday afternoon. As in, the day after it became clear that Senate Democrats not only have the votes to uphold a veto of a congressional resolution against the deal, they most likely have the votes to block it to begin with.

A preview of the Teabagger Cabinet.

a background of the majestic Congressional Dome come to mind? Underneath which Dome, at that very exact moment, the already rotting corpse of the Iran peace deal "resolution of disapproval" was being hurriedly buried!

I had to laugh at the absurdity of what the GOP has become.

Remember back in 2002 and 2003 how liberals weren't supposed to make policy differences into personal attacks or accuse our political opponents of disloyalty or trying to hurt the country? While we watched the horror of the slow-motion crime against humanity unfold, we were admonished by the Very Serious People to be patient and to let the brilliant plans of the Bush administration play themselves out.

When it turned out every bit as bad as we knew it would (and worse), we were warned not to be bringing up ancient history, and despite the horrible outcome, we weren't to impute any bad motives to the administration. Criticism of the Iraq war was criticism of the troops, and demeaned the sacrifices they made to keep us free.

Remember?

Well, today we were treated to vicious personal attacks, character assassination, and predictions of certain doom, as well as imputations of treachery and bad faith on the part of the nation. What will be the reaction of the Very Serious People to this carnival of barking madness?
