Politicians Can't Pass Actual Laws To Stop Gun Violence, So They Tweet Prayerfully

Useless fucksticks:

WASHINGTON -- To promote the general welfare, members of Congress have the power to craft laws, pass them and send them to the president for his or her signature.

In the wake of instances of gun massacres, however, politicians reliably and reflexively reach for the most casual response possible: condolences of 140 characters or less to nobody in particular. Why even bother?

The mass shooting at a community college in Oregon gave us this same rote reaction.

Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) offers prayers:

Prayers for the victims, families, students, & faculty at Umpqua Community College, & the community of Roseburg, Oregon.

Sen. Pat Roberts (R-Kan.) gives victims his prayers and his thoughts:

My thoughts and prayers are with the victims and all those affected by this terrible tragedy at Umpqua Community College in Oregon.

a law like that here.
Even if you could manage to amend the 2nd Amendment you will never get the guns out of the hands of the people, but good luck getting the votes needed to amend the Constitution.
The criminals will still have theirs and regular law abiding people will just be turned into criminals by hiding theirs.

Australia currently has a problem with illegal guns being smuggled in and others being made in country, I learned that from some Australians.
Guns are also easily made from common parts at hardware stores just look at YouTube for proof.
Plus many people like me have machine shops in our homes, garages and barns and can make just about any type of firearm we desire even though that is not why we have them.
