This shit has slowly become normal, to the point that it makes the news for a few hours and then we forget about it. THIS HAS TO STOP.

a gun, as several of this buddies, were in a classroom. The classroom instructor ask the class if anyone was armed and they identified themselves. There was a discussed between them about getting involved and trying to take out the killer. It was decided that they lives were in more danger, since law enforcement would be arriving and mis identified them as the shooter. So they made the decision to stay in lock down in the classroom.

He said after they were released from the classroom they were searched and he told officers he was carrying a gun and they ask for his concealed weapon papers which he always carried. They took the guns, disarmed them, and returned the guys to the guys and escorted the guys to their cars and NOT to the bus. They were allowed to drive home.

I bring this up since the NRA big campaign is that if your carrying a gun you will never get killed and are safe. So in this case, experienced military guys, carrying armed guns, made the decisions not to engage the shooter.
