In the coming days . . . . .

. . . . . it is all so damned predictable.

There will be an outcry from the public. They will decry our gun laws. The President will take to the airwaves (as he already has) and show some righteous (indeed, it IS righteous) indignation and a flash of anger mixed with grief (as he already has).

As a nation we will talk about it.

And then Wayne LaPierre and his storm troopers will come out and call for more to be spent on mental health. Which is total fucking bullshit. I don't know anything about the shooter du jour, but in the past we learn that these people tend to get their guns legally, and tend to fly under anyone's radar untilt they burst - literally - onto the scene, guns ablaze.

As Obama said tonight, the nation is numb to this.

God knows we have to appease the gun humpers. Can't take away their Second Amendment steel dildos.

And so this grief will pass for the nation, but not for the loved ones of the victims. And so Republicans will once again say NO to any limit of guns.

And so it goes . . . . .

. . . . until next time.

And there will as certain as the sun will rise tomorrow be a next time. With more bodies. More blood. More cordite in the air. More death. More lives ripped apart. And more intransigence by the WORTHLESS BOUGHT AND PAID FOR CONGRESSIONAL GUN APOLOGISTS.

Fuck.

Just fuck.

First, no politician is perfect. There may be something about them that makes them unsuitable as a likeable candidate. Maybe they accepted money from an unlikeable donor. It just takes some digging around to find those details, followed by a campaign to remove him.

Secondly, educate the State's population from the outside. Pay close attention to the mortality rate that is affected by guns in that state and pound them with the facts until they wake up.

Everythings under investigation
We don't want to politicize the process - that wouldn't show respect
Wayne LaPierre wil decry the fact that every one isn't carrying; if we all were armed we wouldn't have this (actually, it'd be worse)

I noticed this time how a few of the news orgs had prepped these extensive "this is how we've gotten to this night" which, from the quality of come of the piece, I'm pretty sure they had it on the shelf to play for when the next shooting happens, and you know there'll be other shootings.
