those who have not the power to protect their own interests . . . Then you can sleep easy at night knowing that the party's candidate will have my vote.

I don't really do blank checks for anybody but my wife.

'...if candidate x is the nominee, therefore I cannot vote in this poll.'

You are counted as a 'No' in absentee at DEMOCRATIC Underground.

But that would be a No.

I left out the option of "Maybe" because I wanted to offer a clear choice. Not trying to force anyone and also wasn't trying to create a palette for demands.

4. I have my favorite. The worst Democratic candidate is far better than a "best" republican candidate.

Looking at their 16 or so candidates I see absolutely no one that beats any Democratic candidate. I voted 3rd party once a few decades ago. I felt 'pure' about doing it but later felt that I should have voted against the worst of the 2 candidates - who won the election.

I'm not sure threatening folks with public shaming if they don't preemptively "pledge to fall in line" if their preferred candidate loses, is going to win them over.

Just sayin'...

Maybe the admins can put a permanent poll on the home page, and spare us the daily recriminations and threats.
Maybe people could just wait until there is a nominee, instead of basically saying that the issues that people feel strongly about, don't really count.

at least not from me or towards me if I were to see another such poll. I must have missed all the other polls like this.

... I don't consider Hillary to be very much different than the average Republican candidate on matters of the economy or use of the military.
