You are discussing two separate things. I'm more than happy to debate the meaning of the Second Amendment, which DOES protect an individual right to keep and bear arms. But that's a completely separate issue from implementing commonsense gun control, which is permitted by the Second Amendment. You don't get to ban guns because of the Second Amendment, but we can certainly discuss how to implement better gun control without getting into constitutional theory.
