(24,692 posts)The removal of Assad (51%) and ISIS (43%) would motivate refugees to return to Syria.
Perhaps most of us are so shocked and morally offended by the actions of ISIS that we forget how long Assad has been terrorizing Syrians. Apparently the refugees have not forgotten.
Thanks for posting this survey, DetlefK. I would never has come across it otherwise.

(26,060 posts)I've been saying for quite a while that there are no good guys to fight with in Syria right now. Let Russia have it.

(13,184 posts)Who is responsible for the violence?
70% said Assad
74% said insurgent groups.
That's 144%. I guess it is a multiple answer survey.
How to get Syrians to return to Syria?
Stop the fighting! (68%)
I find it a bit surprising that after four years of brutal civil war, only a bare majority (52%) said "Assad must go."
And 42% said free elections.

(4,238 posts)Those 30% are likely members of minority groups that rightly would fear ISIS more than the government.
