Please do not alienate Democratic heart owners
There has been a lot of discussion about firearms in GD over the last week. Millions of Americans conscientious about the multitude of gunslayings that happen every week in this country. These people are liberals, conservatives, and every political persuasion in between. There are at least 320 million heart owners in the United States and most of them (including the gun owners) are horrified about how we, as a nation, have done nothing in the aftermath of mass shooting after mass shooting. We own hearts for empathy, passion, sympathy, music appreciation, and bimonthly blood donations. We are not second class Democrats just because we don't have well funded ideology groups lobbying to fetishisize our masculinity crises into public policy, regardless of the cost in human lives.
To illustrate my point, ask yourself how much gun control was proposed, only to be filibustered to death between 2008-2010?
